Dayum Drops has such an engaging personality, he can take a mundane event and turn it into an experience with no script at all. On the other hand, the show “Tales of Mere Existence” tells the story of mundane events, but with clever writing and a dry voice over (if only to emphasize the mundaneness of it all):

This concept is known as search intent, or the likelihood that a prospect will complete a purchase or other desired action after searching for a given term. Some keywords are considered to have high commercial intent, or a strong indication that the searcher wants to buy something. Examples of high commercial intent keywords include:
I’ve spent a long time looking at the different options, and there doesn’t seem to be anything exactly what we’re looking for (without requesting customisation), but before I give up hope I wondered whether you knew of anything?
Thanks Kelly, Mailchimp have definitely come a long way with their UI over the years, it’s just their service that hasn’t caught up 😉 I haven’t had the chance to play around with Pure360 as much as I’d like, but I’ve heard the same things echoed by several friends who use their service. Looking at their client list, I think they’re more aimed at large companies though.
As search marketers, we can get tunnel vision with a core set of keywords and an ongoing performance optimization intent. There’s nothing wrong with this, but it should be balanced with a continual eye on competitors’ keyword changes, both for existing and new terms.
Affiliate marketing currently lacks industry standards for training and certification. There are some training courses and seminars that result in certifications; however, the acceptance of such certifications is mostly due to the reputation of the individual or company issuing the certification. Affiliate marketing is not commonly taught in universities, and only a few college instructors work with Internet marketers to introduce the subject to students majoring in marketing.[37]

Disclaimer:  New FTC regulations require that when I talk about money made selling products with this system that I have to state what the “average” person made doing this.  Well, as you can imagine I have no way of knowing that, so to comply with the law I have to state here that the average person made less than one penny with this system.

Just like with on-page SEO, it’s important to optimize your video’s title and description. The title is the first thing people will read when scrolling through a list of videos, so make sure it’s clear and compelling — it should make searchers curious about the content or be instantly clear that your video will help them solve a problem. Do some keyword research to better understand what viewers are searching for. Include the most important information and keywords in the beginning of your title. Finally, keep titles to around 60 characters to keep text from being cut off in results pages.
By offering this free training course, we can help more brands to navigate the murkier waters of Amazon’s wholesale program. We’ll begin offering a paid training program which dives much deeper into the Vendor program and AMS in 2017.
If your video is going to include graphics, title slides, or other multimedia elements, you should plan out the placement and content for those pieces in advance. These elements can be incorporated into your storyboards so the video’s content flows seamlessly.

To summarise, you’re going to be hard-pushed to find a better all-in-one email marketing, marketing automation and CRM solution than ActiveCampaign without spending in excess of $1,000 / month. And even then, ActiveCampaign will give them a run for their money.
“We signed up for Amazon FBA seven months ago, and so far we have completed a little over 4,100 orders on Amazon. I consider this VERY successful and based on our sourcing criteria of 1:3 (buy for $10, predict we can sell for $30), we have had good profitability.” — Denny Basham

Good overview of platforms but I’m sick of these reviews that simply praise each platform, don’t rate them, don’t say what they are lacking or how they compare. Obviously it’s not to critique the platforms as they provide you with affiliate income, but sometimes I think you would do better with a more critical approach. Anyhow, my thoughts.
I’ve heard of several of the providers you mentioned, but I haven’t used them on any projects so I can’t really comment. From a quick browse of their websites they all look fine, but nothing jumps out at me in terms of a unique proposition.

I made a mistake and overpaid by purchasing two books with overlapping material. I not only received an email, but also a phone call, which I missed, and subsequently heard a very pleasant and friendly voice mail from Karen explaining my mistake, and my options. Your offer to refund the overpayment was unheard of when dealing with people on the web.

Another disadvantage with Mailchimp is the homogenisation of their email templates. Because so many marketers use Mailchimp, their newsletter templates look familiar. While you can obviously customise them, they somehow always have seem to look like a Mailchimp newsletter.
Yes and no. You should never pay to become an affiliate for a merchant’s program. Joining and promoting an affiliate program is a free opportunity. If someone is asking you to spend money to become their affiliate, then you’re being presented with an affiliate scam and should steer clear of that program.
“I started selling on Amazon last Spring in while working full time as a CFO for a health care agency, commuting every other week from NC to New England. I heard rumors of acquisition for many months, and sure enough on that summer I was let go. I knew I wouldn’t miss the travel, but replacing a $130,000 salary was frightening. While looking for full-time work close to home, I decided to try to grow my Amazon business. By the time Jim’s first CES conference came around (that Fall), I was making about $6000 per month in sales with 100% ROI. At Jim’s conference was when I decided to work my Amazon biz full time. I finished that first partial year with about $90,000 in sales. The first six months of this year I’m at $150,000 in sales and forcast to end the year at around $350,000 in sales with 100% ROI. I didn’t think it possible even a short time ago, but I’ve now more than replaced my $130,000 CFO salary. I owe a great deal to the Proven Amazon Course and to Jim to get me started on the right path. This year I’ve taken coaching classes from partners Jim endorses and I’m looking to diversify into other areas of FBA (branding, wholesaleing), as well as other online ventures. I failed to mention that I’ve done this without any employees. My wife helps when she can, but it’s primarily myself running the business. On the plus side, my wife, who’s a nurse, is planning to join me full time this Fall. I never would have thought that in 15 months, this business could have grown so much. Thanks so much for all you do, Jim.”
Negative Phrase and Negative Exact are match types that prevent ads from being triggered by a certain search term (word or phrase). When a keyword is selected as negative, AMS will not show the ad to shoppers searching for that phrase.
If you’re shooting “on location” it may become necessary to edit the script again. More often than not, you’ll find certain things don’t work as well in real life as they did when it was just you and your computer.
Haven’t used email marketing as much as I should. Previously, we tried using ImnicaMail because of their pricing but it was as good as not having an email marketing campaign; all our mail was sent to spam (since they did not manage their customers’ list for spam). Thought email marketing wasn’t effective until I found out our emails were being sent to the spam box. Learnt my lesson there.
“Hi Jim, I wanted to write to thank you. I really wanted to write this when you asked for success stories for CES but I was so afraid you might pick me. I am an introvert by nature and the thought of getting on stage scares me to death. Anyway I was at CES and it was absolutely amazing. My story starts 7 years ago. I was a bad alcoholic and had been since I was about 18. I had hit my rock bottom and knew it was time to change my life forever. I met a beautiful woman who I just knew was meant to be the mother of my children. With her help I have been in recovery for over 7 years. She has saved my life. My dream was to get married and start a family and that’s exactly what I did. Been married to my wonderful wife for 6 years and have a 5 year old daughter, a three year old daughter, and a one year old son. I am very blessed and the proudest husband and father you would ever see. Once I got sober I discovered I had an entrepreneur spirit. I started selling used CD’s and DVD’s’ that I bought off Craigslist on EBay. I had a ton of success on EBay but then discovered Amazon. I sold on Amazon for about 3 years. I merchant fulfilled all my cd’s and DVD’s’ and my business was thriving. I was selling over 100 items a day and working a fulltime 40+ hour a week job as a server engineer. The problem was I was getting burned out. Once we had our second daughter it was too much to run the business and work my 40 hours a week and I chose the wrong one. I stayed in my job and quit selling online. Over the next few years I became miserable at my job. I knew I was a entrepreneur and going to work at a job was just not for me. We had just had our 3 child and our daycare was up to 2K a month so I was working to pay daycare. My wife and I knew this was the time for me to come home and be a stay at home dad and begin a business. I knew I could start a business from home and went on a search. I looked back into Amazon and came upon the PAC course and Brett Bartlett’s 5K post. Your blog and the PAC course hooked me in. I jumped in head first in October 2012. My sales grew gradually and last month I had over 16K in sales. I had replaced my JOB salary. Here I am today. I spend all day with my kids and don’t miss them growing up. I have a business I LOVE and I’m so very proud of. I could not be happier and I have you to thank. My family is the most important thing in my life and I am able to be there to take my kids to school every single day. I really appreciate everything you do and the way you help people. You have helped me become a successful entrepreneur and an even better father.” — Matt C.
