Some people remember the 1990’s as a tremendous period of growth for grunge music and Jim Carrey films. While this is true, most people will probably tell you the 90’s were responsible for this big, beautiful, technology called the World Wide Web (aka the internet, the web, the vast digital ocean of information at our finger tips). And with any new technology or media, companies quickly realized they had a new opportunity to market their products and services to consumers via the millions of websites they visit every day.

I made a mistake and overpaid by purchasing two books with overlapping material. I not only received an email, but also a phone call, which I missed, and subsequently heard a very pleasant and friendly voice mail from Karen explaining my mistake, and my options. Your offer to refund the overpayment was unheard of when dealing with people on the web.

You should also pay special attention to long tail keywords, or keywords with three or more individual words. They are much more detailed, and therefore typically have lower traffic levels, lower competition, and lower CPC.

Unfortunately, there were also those website owners who were stuck in the middle. Companies and individuals without a dedicated marketing team to test and tweak their strategies also saw their rankings dive. Most of the websites in this category were run by business owners focused on day-to-day operations.
A click occurs whenever a shopper clicks on an ad. The clicks metric is a count of how many times shoppers have clicked on an ad. We provide you the total number of clicks for each campaign and keyword.
Recap with a conclusion – Referring back to our old marketing proverb, this is the part where you, tell them what you told them. You may say something like, “Today we learned what Facebook Timeline is and how it works.”
Thank you for the list. I’ve used three of those on the list (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, and Campaign Monitor) over the years. They’re all good. My current email list marketing host, Madmimi.com, is better than any of the other three for a combination of low rates and great customer service. Its user interface is good.
I really appreciate your showing me and thousands of others that there IS a business out there that isn’t a scam. Thank you also for being genuinely interested in your students and not just concentrating on the $$’s. I hope a year from now I will be doing private label with a product of my own (whatever that may be)!” Sincerely, Wanda E.
One of the more established solutions on this list, VerticalResponse was founded in San Francisco in 2001 and has grown to more than one million users. It’s now part of the portfolio of Minnesota-based check printing giant Deluxe Corp.
This concept is known as search intent, or the likelihood that a prospect will complete a purchase or other desired action after searching for a given term. Some keywords are considered to have high commercial intent, or a strong indication that the searcher wants to buy something. Examples of high commercial intent keywords include:
WhatCounts – You can run WhatCounts’ email marketing software from the cloud or via your own servers. If you’re just looking for an email marketing tool, I would probably not recommend them over something like ActiveCampaign, but their email marketing and marketing automation tools are certainly not bad. If you’re looking for a tool that combines transactional email with email marketing, SendinBlue are worth considering.
I do not use my own links unless I have express permission to do so (in writing). This is very important for many networks such as AdSense which will kick you out of the program if you click on the ads on your own site. One of my affiliates indeed did let me use my affiliate link to purchase a second of their products, but only one time. But I was so nervous, I emailed them and asked explicitly if I was reading that right. “So, can I click on my own affiliate link on my own blog and purchase this?” The response was, “Yes, you can use your own link.” And I wrote back again, “So, I will in no way be penalized if I click on my own affiliate link?” (I think I drove them crazy (Hi, can you say anal? 🙂 ) but they assured me it was fine…and it was. All that to say, be very, very careful! I know the fine print is tedious, but being familiar with the TOS (Terms of Service) is really to your benefit.
As the number of sites on the Web increased in the mid-to-late 1990s, search engines started appearing to help people find information quickly. Search engines developed business models to finance their services, such as pay per click programs offered by Open Text in 1996 and then Goto.com in 1998. Goto.com later changed its name to Overture in 2001, was purchased by Yahoo! in 2003, and now offers paid search opportunities for advertisers through Yahoo! Search Marketing. Google also began to offer advertisements on search results pages in 2000 through the Google AdWords program. By 2007, pay-per-click programs proved to be primary moneymakers for search engines. In a market dominated by Google, in 2009 Yahoo! and Microsoft announced the intention to forge an alliance. The Yahoo! & Microsoft Search Alliance eventually received approval from regulators in the US and Europe in February 2010.
And that leads us right into understanding service pricing and packaging. The services we reviewed range from about $5 per month to as much as $20 per month for a range of features. Many email marketing plans include unlimited email sends each month and bill you based on the number of subscribers. If you have a small list, look for a company that offers a free plan, a low-cost plan for several hundred subscribers, or even a pay-as-you-go plan. On the flip side, many of these services also offer high-volume plans with up to 100,000 or more contacts. Sometimes this requires a custom plan that has to be arranged directly with a sales rep. If you’re willing to commit, some companies offer discounts if you pay by the year rather than month by month. A few offer money-back guarantees.
Affiliate marketing is also called “performance marketing”, in reference to how sales employees are typically being compensated. Such employees are typically paid a commission for each sale they close, and sometimes are paid performance incentives for exceeding objectives. Affiliates are not employed by the advertiser whose products or services they promote, but the compensation models applied to affiliate marketing are very similar to the ones used for people in the advertisers’ internal sales department.
Note that you can become an affiliate for large companies once, and then promote any of their products. For example, you can become an affiliate with Amazon (“Amazon Associate”) once and promote any of their products.
“The ProvenAmazonCourse.com course is the most powerful opportunity training I have found. Believe me, I have looked at more than I can count. The PAC will be the core of our training.” –Steven Jennings (director of an organization that for over 26 years has been ministering to the homeless and other low income people)
Review : I am an SEO Geek. I love SEO. I have read many articles about SEO. I have taken many courses on SEO But this course is totally different. The things I have learned in 17 courses in this course could take my one year or more learning this by myself. The instructor is very generous and he had explained a lot of topics about SEO that no one says about. Today, I come to edit my review because with his told things I hit the first page of google. I am very happy. Thank you, Shree.
I always run my affiliate links through redirects – also referred to as cloaking affiliate links – for several reasons:Running them through my redirects means I have a click count to match up to the one the merchant is reporting. Affiliate links … Read More
Finding and studying your target audience allows you to get a feel for what their interests are, what kind of information they like to read, their primary needs and goals, and demographic information.
Keyword match types determine how relevant a shopper’s search has to be to trigger your ad. Headline Search Ads offer broad, phrase, and exact match types. With exact match, your ads can appear only when a shopper searches for your exact keyword, without any other terms in the search. Unlike broad or phrase match, if a shopper searches for additional words before or after your exact keyword, your ad won’t show. Using exact match means that your keywords are targeted more precisely than broad or phrase match. With phrase match, your ad can show when a shopper searches for your exact keyword, or your exact keyword with additional words before or after it. We’ll also show your ad when a shopper searches for close variations of that exact keyword, or with additional words before or after it. With broad match, your ad will appear when a shopper searches for your keyword in any order, including close variants of your keyword. This match type will give your ad the most traffic exposure to a wider audience, but will not be as targeted as phrase or exact match types.
Finally, Mailchimp has a huge variety of integrations. There aren’t many services that Mailchimp can’t connect to. Whether you need to connect to LeadPages, Instapage, WordPress, Hubspot, Unbounce, Facebook, or virtually any other popular marketing tool – Mailchimp will integrate with them.
That depends on your duration setting. If you select “Run my campaign continuously”, the campaign will run without an end date, meaning it will not expire. If a date range is selected, that date range will determine the life of the campaign.
Have you looked into Radio Airplay or FanDistro? They’re both really good tools for collecting the email addresses of fans that like your music. I remember reading a case study that Brian Hazard of Passive Promotion / Color Theory wrote where he got thousands of fan email addresses using Radio Airplay.

“The Jim Cockrum Team has taken me from “just getting by each month with about $10 extra to spare” and risking $4000 Total in the bank about 7 years ago to paying more in taxes yearly, than I used to make in a year. It was/IS work then and now but, if you are willing to work hard and smart in the first few years starting out, in my opinion, YOU Can do it. Thank you Jim Cockrum team.”

A. The information we’ll show you is everything you need to get started. Based on your budget, you will have to invest in inventory. Some of our top students started out with $500 and now have $100,000+ per month in sales. We’ll also tell you about the optional equipment you can use to help automate your entire operation. If you buy ALL of the tools we suggest you’ll spend another $300+ or so, but you don’t need these tools until you are showing a profit. We’ll show you exactly what equipment and software options you have. There are plenty of Amazon sellers and FBA users who start out with no software tools or equipment and work their way up to a fully automated business as they can afford it. Do not spend your last bit of cash on this course, but if you have a little capital to work with this is a fantastic business model.
Thank you for this very informative and easy to understand information. I’m wondering if the same information applies to blogs as well as an e-commerce website? My biggest obstacle is getting traffic to my website. Having all this wonderful information and affiliates is great but only if people see it.” If you build it they will come” I have found does not apply to websites. Thanks!
The niche you choose might draw enough interest from your audience when it comes to reading and acquiring knowledge, but are they willing to buy relevant products too? Without consumer interest in products, your niche isn’t going to make you much money.
Be sure to check what kind of customer support you can expect from your affiliate program once you have signed up. Do your research online and if possible, speak to other sellers using the program to get their thoughts. Can you speak to someone via phone or Skype or do you have to wait 72 hours for email responses? Be clear on this because trust me, you will need support at one point or another.
For example, maybe you targeted “bulk bag filling equipment” and find out the page also ranks well for “bulk bag filler frame” – a phrase that is beneficial to your business. Continue to make adjustments to help that keyword phrase rank even higher.
While following your passion is definitely the recommended option, sometimes the possibility of making money in a profitable niche trumps passion. So, you might not necessarily know much about your niche, but if it’s likely to make you money, you can always learn more about it, right?
“I am completely blown away by the professionalism, helpfulness and knowledge level of Jim Cockrum. No matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran he treats us all the same. “The amount of information which Jim gives is amazing. Without a bit of hesitation I can strongly recommend working with Jim to further your FBA life. I am indebted to him for all of the help he has give me.”
On top of this, ActiveCampaign enables you to add conditional content to emails, so that you can personalise your emails based on information you’ve collected on your leads/subscribers. Most email marketing services allow you to send an email to all users you are importing. This email asks their permission to be added into your email list. If they give consent, then they will be subscribed to your email list.
Let’s talk about YouTube. We’ve all heard of it, and chances are, we’ve all spent a wasted afternoon watching one silly cat video after another. YouTube is a great source for funny, entertaining content, but it’s also increasingly becoming an essential tool for marketers. In fact, nearly half of all marketers (48%) plan to add YouTube to their marketing strategy over the next 12 months according to the State of Inbound report.
