We recently opened an affiliate program at clickyhomes.net. I’m wondering, do you have any advice for connecting with affiliate marketers? Are there tools / resources that most affiliate marketers like to have access too – like logos, content, banner ads? It would be really great if you had any advice. Thanks.
Hello Clicky! In terms of connecting with affiliate marketers, a good place to start would be the major affiliate networks in your niche. Two examples off the top of my head are http://www.uk.cj.com/ and https://freshpress.media/ – these sites are heavily used by affiliates but you’ll want to make sure you have great visibility when people are searching for affiliate programs in your niche. A great way to do this is to find out what the top business in your niche is doing in terms of their affiliate offer and match with something similar. Another way of attracting affiliates is to perform some market research and find out the top blogs in your niche, then reach out to the owners with a delicious affiliate program deal they cannot refuse. In terms of logo’s and banner ads, most affiliate don’t really use them anymore (from my own experiences). But again, I would research everything before making any decisions. Hope this helps!
Yes I even teach people how to do it. If you treat it like a real business and and follow the proven methods in a decent MLM company anyone can make money. In my company for example they have the start up bonus and a 70% commission payout, sure that can turn into great money, but the real money…
Zac: The best way to get started is to get familiar with the lingo and how networks, cpa/cpc, social marketing and all aspects work. There are plenty of paid ebooks and “teaching” programs out there, but none of them are necessary. Do a simple google search and you will come across a ton of marketing blogs offering the same newbie information for free. Everything you need to get started is already out there for free if you just look for it.
I am not too familiar with omniture but retargeting is an excellent way to reduce shopping cart abandonment. If a customer leaves your site without completing their purchase, you can stay in front of them wherever they go and remind them to return to your site and convert. This website might be…
PeerFly.com is hailed as being the fastest-growing affiliate network program in the world. The program is a cost-per-action based affiliate ad network, which has over 2,000 live offers and guarantees top pay-outs.
If the client is an ecommerce store you could use their average visits before conversion to estimate how many conversions are not being tracked and ask the client to pay you that percentage more. For example, if 20% of their buyers do not buy on the first visit, negotiate an uplift of 20% over tracked conversions.
Review : Frankly, this instructor is experienced in affiliate marketing for years and really make big profits from it. He is a living proof of a successful affiliate marketer–making a good income. He answers your questions along the courses and also provides some useful tools to lower the barriers to entry for us. – Tiffany Lee
With this last question, the employer is looking for your insight into the industry – and they’re obviously keen to hear your thoughts on where the industry might be headed. This one is a pretty common question across all industries, so if you have no idea, you need to swot up before the interview. Have a look at popular blogs in the industry and the kind of things they’re discussing right now – then, along with your own experience and knowledge, think about how these things might develop and change within the next few years.
When I was just getting started with affiliate marketing I really didn’t have a single clue how to do it or even what I was supposed to be doing on a daily basis. There may have been a few newbie courses available back then but even if I found one I had no money to part with to buy one.
I gotta tell you when I was planning my million dollar launch I new I needed a payment solution that was Reliable, Risk-free and Robust. There was no real doubt in my mind that PayDotCom would over deliver for me yet again.
Many people ask me which is the best affiliate marketing training course and as I don’t like to be biased with my answer, I have asked this same question to 20 experts. Basically the interview consisted on these 2 questions:
The advantages of Continuous Training are: 1) improves cardiovascular endurance 2) improves health related fitness 3) reduces amounts of body fat 4) maintains fitness in the off season From basis of all sports/health related activities Some disadvantages are: 1) can get boring after a while of…
I’ve tried more “master courses” or “ultimate ways to x” kind of courses than I care to admit. While I picked up bits and pieces from these types of courses, I wasted more money than I was making by FAR!
The above list was handpicked by me and see as the best value courses to truly start a serious career as an affiliate marketer. Please note that it takes hard work, dedication and time to make a good living with affiliate marketing. But once you have the hang of it, you can pretty much make cash on autopilot!
Great article. I agree focusing on high paying affiliate programs are more worth the time than low-paid. Will check out the travel affiliate program you mentioned for our industry. We just signed up with an affiliate marketing platform to host our private jet charter and empty leg specials. We are keen on expanding! Thank you!
In this category, I’ll share giant internet retail websites and eCommerce stores that run their own affiliate programs. You can earn commissions as an affiliate of these stores by promoting any products of their listed products.
You mention SEOlinkvine which I have been wanting to use but have been using SubmitYourArticle for quite some time now. Can you give me advice as to whether I should jump to the LinkVine? It looks like their service is more robust.
I am doing a lot of seo techniques to try to get free traffic before I start paying for some. Is this wrong? I know PPC marketing is the way to get fast traffic to your site, but I lost money doing that before and don’t want to take the risk again until I have some income from my site. Should I start with PPC and other paid advertising anyway? Or keep trying for free traffic first?
As you may already know or experienced, there are lot of crappy products out there. Everyone claiming to have the best program of the industry. Take your time to read each interview and it will help you get an idea of which are the top legit programs that will boost your business.
That way, if you decide to write a review to promote it or send the affiliate link for the product’s sales page to your email list, etc., you will have first-hand knowledge of how it works. This will help you to decide it the product has real value pertaining to your niche. I, personally, won’t sell anything I haven’t tried myself to be sure they work as advertised. Selling just to make money with no real value is a sure way to lose customers and ultimately destroy your business. Bad reputations are hard to get rid of once you get one, especially when there’s money involved. With that being said, I hope you all have a great holiday season.
Affiliates can get compensated in a variety of ways, which are determined by the merchant. The three most common are pay-per-sale, pay-per-lead and pay-per-click. Affiliates only get paid when their promotional efforts actually result in a transaction. Most often, all payments earned by affiliates are paid out through the third-party network the program is hosted on.
Affiliate networks that already have several advertisers typically also have a large pool of publishers. These publishers could be potentially recruited, and there is also an increased chance that publishers in the network apply to the program on their own, without the need for recruitment efforts by the advertiser.
Affiliates were among the earliest adopters of pay per click advertising when the first pay-per-click search engines emerged during the end of the 1990s. Later in 2000 Google launched its pay per click service, Google AdWords, which is responsible for the widespread use and acceptance of pay per click as an advertising channel. An increasing number of merchants engaged in pay per click advertising, either directly or via a search marketing agency, and realized that this space was already occupied by their affiliates. Although this situation alone created advertising channel conflicts and debates between advertisers and affiliates, the largest issue concerned affiliates bidding on advertisers names, brands, and trademarks. Several advertisers began to adjust their affiliate program terms to prohibit their affiliates from bidding on those type of keywords. Some advertisers, however, did and still do embrace this behavior, going so far as to allow, or even encourage, affiliates to bid on any term, including the advertiser’s trademarks.
A couple of months ago I asked our readers what affiliate marketing questions they would like to have answered. I then analyzed the submissions and filtered out the 15 most common questions. After that I sent the questions to three friends of mine who are affiliate marketing rock stars, and the result is what you will find below.
I almost didn’t finish the article due to the length but so glad I did. My perimenopause is killing my attention span. I really needed these excellent pointers in getting started in the world of affiliate marketing. Wish me well…Thank you

A well-known affiliate network, ClickBank features digital products, such as e-books, software, and membership sites. The program reportedly offers up to 75% commissions on its tens of thousands of products. Commissions are paid weekly, and direct deposit is available to its affiliates.
A special feature you should consider when choosing your Clickbank products is Gravity. This is an indicator of how many affiliates are making sales with a specific product. The higher the number, the more people are selling it. However, you may want to stay away from products with 100+ Gravity, because this is a very competitive field.

As a website or a blog owner, there are more than one ways in which you can benefit from affiliate marketing. Remember, the affiliate marketing program does not require the affiliate marketers to have their own products or services. Thereby, way fewer headaches with shipping and customer service for the affiliates.

1. Study the arts of inbound marketing and online sales writing. This will take some time, but it will be mostly or entirely free—there are plenty of free online resources, not to mention books at your local library. There are several ways you can increase visitors to your website. First you can try to do a SEO (search Engine optimization) for your website, in this way your website will be ranked #1 on a particular keyword. Another way to increase website visitors to your website is by the use of Google ads….
Many IM training programs are costly, but this one’s relatively cheap. In my opinion, though, it would be better if some of the videos went into more detail. The CF membership costs $4.95 for 7 days of full trial access, and if you like what you find you can sign up for $37 per month. If you’re just starting out in IM, this may be a good site for you to learn the basics of running an online business.
Fantastic post. That’s a lot of useful information to take in. I stuck to the old school way of affiliate marketing. Instead of creating landing pages for different products/services and then paying for traffic, which is a very lucrative way to go about with affiliate marketing, I created a blog and only after I established authority, I began to sell affiliate products. And still, I hope to release my own product instead of just focusing on affiliate stuff.
I’ve been in the internet marketing industry for over 8 years now and throughout that time I’ve seen thousands of online courses and training programs come and go. There are literally only three of them I’d be comfortable recommending.
Thanks for the information. I’ve been following your blog for a while now and have learned many useful tips. I am not exactly new to affiliate marketing/blogging but am definitely learning tips to help convert my visitors better.
